When we moved into our new house, we found this little puppy a few days later someone (according to our neighbor) had thrown out the window of a car.
We adopted the little guy and named him Bandit because his face coloring made it look like he was wearing a mask.
He was skin and bones and must have survived around the lake for a couple weeks before we found him.
Turns out those fools threw out the best dog anyone could ever ask for.
Bandit was awesome to play with, and he fiercely guarded our house and family.
He loved Isaac and Anna and they loved him.
Life sucks sometimes.
Our dog Bandit got hit by a car tonight and the poor dog died.
Jocelyn is heartbroken.
Isaac and Anna Jo are devastated.
I’m crushed.
Bandit lived a short but good life.
He loved to nip and wrestle.
He was so ornery and wild.
He loved to play out by the lake and lay out in the sun.
He was here, and now he’s gone.
Bandit’s death, for us, is a reminder how short life is, and how something you love can be gone in a minute.
We can’t waste time y’all!
The only time we are guaranteed is right now, this moment.
None of us, our pets, our friends, our loved ones, our kids… none of us are guaranteed tomorrow.
We have to maximize our minutes and make the most of every moment we have!
Death is awful.
But it can also be a powerful reminder to pay attention, and spend time with the people and pets we love while we still can!
I literally let my dog out for two minutes yesterday.
He was alive and happy, and then two minutes later he was gone.
I wish I had more time to wrestle, to play, to hug him and love him.
Our other puppy Cocoa is starting to get depressed. She is realizing Bandit is gone.
She’s just sleeping a lot.
When she is not sleeping, she sniffs around looking for Bandit.
It’s so pitiful and so sad. I just wish they had one more minute to play together.
Bandit was our other dog Cocoa’s best friend.
Turns out he was mine too.
I never understood how people loved their pets so much until now.
If you have a pet, play with them tonight. Married? Hug your spouse. Love on your kids.
All we have is right now.
Bye Bandit. We love you.
You were the best.
I wish I had a couple more minutes to spend with you.

That’s really awful. I can only imagine how hard it must have been for your family. Just the taught of it gets me all teary-eyed.
