Today’s guest is Adam Sears! Adam has an amazing membership product called Silver Spaces. His goal? To help moms, dads, and grandparents stay in their home and age in place a few years longer! Adam does this through an amazing tool he created to help people make modifications to their home and this has a LOT of potential, guys!
This is a great conversation about:
- What’s possible in online business.
- The tools you can create in your membership.
- Marketing to different segments or audiences.
Adam’s membership has a ton of potential in the consumer space and business-to-business where he can get professionals to join his membership, and even a business-in-a-box element!
Show Notes
Adam Sears lives in Shelbyville, Kentucky. He is a husband and a father to 2 kids. Adam has been running his own construction consulting business for the last 7 years!
Adam’s wife is a critical care nurse and through observing her work, he became aware of the need families had after serious injuries to make their homes more accessible for their needs. He saw where he could use his construction knowledge to help families in those situations. At this same time, he had to do this for his own family members so they could age inside their homes!
With that – he created silverspaces.com!
What’s holding you back? (23:00)
Right now, it seems Adam has an issue with his avatar. We’ve got to fix that!
Adam needs to shift his marketing to people that would be between ages 30-60 because they would probably have parents between the ages of 60-100. The people that are going to want what Adam offers are the kids of these people, not the people themselves!
His assessment price also has to be AT LEAST the price of his monthly membership – we have to make it believable!
What fears are holding you back? (48:00)
Adam sees the potential his business has and it’s a little scary at the moment! He fears being the first ones on the market in his space but that’s not something to be afraid of, that is something to be celebrated!
You want to be the first and the best marketer – you don’t have to have the best product on the market for what you do!
What are your next steps? (43:00)
Over the next week Adam needs to:
- Talk to his partner about going down the marketing rabbit hole.
- Raise his assessment price to $97.
- Work on the marketing strategies for professionals.
- Get his core values down and write out a 3-year vivid vision.
