David and Jill decided to go into online business and to do so, they thought about their own God-given talents and experiences!
David has a background in engineering and Jill is a school teacher (she taught in public school and now she homeschools her own children).
For their online business they decided to combine their strengths and create resources for homeschooling families. They really want to focus on helping teens with their career aspirations! Now, they have started their membership, Homeschooling 4 Real Life (h4rl.com)!
Where are you stuck? (19:00)
Right now David and Jill are running ads, writing blogs – but they are stuck on getting organic growth. They want to know how to best reach their audience.
Getting organized growth always means SEO! David and Jill need to figure out what people are searching for in their niche. They have to find out what the parents are searching for, not the kids!

David and Jill also need to use the language of the symptoms their avatar has. Once you find the symptom and put it in your ad, you have to mimic it on your opt-in page! Keep the imagery consistent.

Now that they have a better understanding of how to successfully run ads – David and Jill want to know what type of conversions they should be looking at.
The conversions and even the price that costs to get an email don’t matter. Cost of acquisition is the only thing that matters at the end of the day!
Also – David and Jill have gotten great feedback about their membership, but they can’t get anyone into it. They want to meet their avatar where they are at and bring them in.
They need to get different kinds of ads:
- Traffic-based ads
- Re-targeting ads
